The Venedocia Historical Marker

This historical marker was erected in September 1998. It is located in Memorial Park which is adjacent to Venedocia cemetary and just west of Venedocia village. To the left of the marker you can see in the background Salem Church, which is mentioned in the text. The historical marker was paid for by the Venedocia Lions Club. The Van Wert Historical Society and Ohio Historical Society helped authenticate the information. The Lions emblem is on the bottom left and the Welsh dragon is on the bottom right. The number "3-81" means the third historical marker placed in county 81, which is Van Wert County.

View the other side of the historical marker to see information about General Anthony Wayne's march through Van Wert County.
