Village of Venedocia
Regular Council Meeting
January 6, 2020
The January council meeting was called to order by President of Council, Paul Price, with the following council members present: Gloria Leiter, Tom Emery, and Doug Price. Also in attendance were: Phil Eutsler, Margie Clement, Vernon Hobbs, Jill Straley, and Liz Hobbs
Judge Straley administered the oath of office to the following council members: Margie Clement and Phil Eutsler, as well as the following mayor: Vernon Hobbs.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Mayor Hobbs designated the following to sign warrants for the fiscal year 2020: Margie Clement, Tom Emery, and Gloria Leiter.
The following committees were assigned:
Street: Doug Price and Paul Price
Park: Phil Eutsler and Margie Clement
Safety: Gloria Leiter and Tom Emery

Gloria Leiter moved to pay all bills. Margie Clement seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Old Business
Doug Price moved to pay David Hobbs $70.00 per hour for the purpose of snow removal. Margie Clement seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Doug Price reported that all poles at the ball park are down except two.
New Business
Gloria Leiter moved to secure Scott Gordon as village solicitor. Doug Price seconded the motion. Motion carried.
All council meetings will be held the first Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at the Lions Club building, unless otherwise noted in the previous month’s minutes.
First Federal Bank will be the village’s primary financial institution.
Doug Price and Paul Price volunteered to mow for the village again this year. Their time is much appreciated.
A discussion of adding stone to spots in town that have large holes was tabled until spring.
Gloria Leiter moved for adjournment. Margie Clement seconded. Meeting adjourned. Next meeting will be February 3, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.
