Venedocia Lions Club December 1, 2014


The meeting was called to order by Mayor Larry Eutsler. The following council members were present: Robert Louth, Lee Lare, Tom Emery, Paul Price, and Gloria Leiter, and Christina Young.


The minutes of the November meeting were read and approved.

Paul Price moved to pay all bills. Lee Lare seconded the motion. Motion passed.


Old Business

A discussion was held about a tree that was trimmed by the electric company being unstable at the Gloria Leiter residence. It is feared that it will fall and cause an accident or damage her house.


The village is on Bruns list to clean the catch basins in the spring, Leiter reported.


The village tractor sold for $1600. The village is still looking for a replacement for the spring.


Brandon Suever has agreed to take care of the snow plowing for the village this season.


New Business

Rotorooter needs to be called to clean out clogged tile next spring.


The church youth group will make plans to clean the streets, particularly of leaves, yet this year.


The fiscal officer shared the results of the election concerning the fire levy: 21 people voted for the tax levy, while 3 voted against it.


Figures to maintain the village website were shared. An estimate of approximately $200 to renew the license for a 5-year period was moved by Christina Young and seconded by Tom Emery. Motion passed.


It was noted that the last light on the south side of town is not turning on and off at the right time.

Gloria Leiter moved to appoint Jennifer Pugh as the village’s fiscal officer for the 2015 calendar year. Christina Young seconded the motion. A roll-call vote was taken with a unanimous “yes” vote indicated. Motion passed.


Gloria Leiter moved for adjournment.

Lee Lare seconded the motion.

Meeting adjourned.

The first meeting of 2015 will by January 5, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.
