Old Business

It was noted that Brandon Suever is interested in the snow removal job next winter.

The mayor reported that the Leinedecker residence looks as if some work has been done to clean it up. On the same topic, Councilman Emery shared the website www.neighborlink.net. This link provides information about the opportunity to have residences cleaned up for free. A dumpster would need to be provided.

New Business

There was discussion about the need for some spring cleaning and fixing around the village. These topics included:

- trees on the south side of town needing cut down or trimmed,

-some street clean outs need repaired,

-Doug Ruen residence has numerous junk cars,

-Larry Collins residence needs cleaned up,

-Rosemary Strick residence also needs cleaned up.

A grant for $22,000.00 was awarded to resurface the streets in the village. An engineer’s and grant writer’s fee of $4000.00 will be the responsibility of the village. A prioritized list will be made to decide which streets are repaired. It is possible that more streets will be able to be added if a different grant for the township is awarded and a better bid will be made for both projects combined.

A motion was made by Christina Young to allow the Village of Convoy to accept bids for the resurfacing project. A roll-call vote was taken. A unanimous ‘yes’ vote was given.

Gloria Leiter moved to employ James Grant as the village mower for the 2014 season. Paul Price seconded the motion. Motion passed.

Paul Priced moved for adjournment.

Christina Young seconded the motion.

Meeting adjourned.

The next meeting will by May 12, 2014 at 5:00 p.m.
