Village of Venedocia

Venedocia Lions Club February 3, 2014


The February meeting was called to order by President of Council, Robert Louth. The following council members were present: Gloria Leiter, Christina Young, Paul Price and Tom Emery.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read, corrected, and approved.

The bills were presented as follows:


Salem Presbyterian Youth Group $250.00 (#4890)

Jennifer Pugh $285.90 (#4891)

Tom Emery moved to pay all bills. Gloria Leiter seconded the motion. Motion carried.


Old Business

Councilman Young reported the happenings last Friday, January 31st at court regarding Mr. and Mrs. Martin. A discussion was held concerning how the property was inevitably going to get cleaned up.


New Business

Councilman Young mentioned the need for a backup snow remover. Due to lack of discussion, this item was dropped.


A reading of Ordinance 2014-2 was given. It secures Scott Gordon as village solicitor. Gloria Leiter moved to pass this ordinance. Paul Price seconded the motion. Motion passed.


A reading of Ordinance 2014-3 was also given. It states that the village supports the trustees of the Memorial Park in their endeavor to attain military memorabilia. Christina Young made a motion in support of this endeavor. Gloria Leiter seconded the motion. Motion carried.



Christina Young moved for adjournment.

Tom Emery seconded the motion.

Meeting adjourned.
