Venedocia Lions Club June 4, 2012

Meeting was called to order by Mayor Larry Eutsler with the following council members present: Christina Young, Chad Pugh, Lee Lare, Gloria Leiter, Paul Price, and Robert Louth. Also attending the meeting were Reverend Tom Emery and village solicitor, Scott Gordon.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

Robert Louth moved to pay all bills. Chad Pugh seconded the motion. Motion carried.


Old Business

Village Solicitor, Scott Gordon, talked with the council about how to handle a handful of residences that have allowed their properties to become full of junk. These properties include:

19065 Plum Street

15190 Main Street

15292 Main Street

Gordon advised getting the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office involved. Stan Riggenbach will be asked to attend the next council meeting.


New Business

Mayor Eutsler reported that Mike Pohlman is experiencing tile problems in his field. It was discussed that larger tile may be put in before the overlay project begins.


In preparation for the up-coming budget, Pugh asked for councils thoughts on any future projects. It was noted that if the budget allows, the cost for mosquito spraying should be added to the budget for next year.


Mayor Eutsler noted that motorists’ speeding in the village has become an increasing problem. Residents are asked to be mindful of this.


Paul Price moved for adjournment. Christina Young seconded the motion. Meeting adjourned. The next meeting will be July 2nd.
