Village of Venedocia

Venedocia Lions Club April 2, 2012

Meeting was called to order by Mayor Larry Eutsler with the following council members present: Gloria Leiter, Robert Louth, Paul Price, and Christina Young.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

The bills were presented as follows:

Village of Middle Point $1917.59 (#4706)

Jennifer Pugh $285.71 (#4707)

AEP $17.02 (charge)

OPERS $78.02 (voucher)


Gloria Leiter moved to pay all bills. Christina Young seconded the motion. Motion carried. Councilman Chad Pugh entered the meeting at this time.

Old Business

Mayor Eutsler reported that there still continues to be problems with junk and dog responsibility in the village. To aid the junk problem, the Village will be placing a dumpster at the ball park on May 4th and 5th for the residents of the village. Residents are encouraged to clean up their properties. Van Wert Council on Aging will assist by taking any scrap metal that is donated. Residents are asked to remember that no paint cans or tires will be accepted.


Councilman Price indicated that Tim Price is not interested in the mowing job this year. Price moved to hire Jim Grant for this job. Chad Pugh seconded the motion. Motion carried. It was noted that the Lions Club will now be mowing the area around the buildings rather than the village.


Grant writer, Ron Puthoff, was unable to attend the meeting tonight. An attempt will be made to contact him for a future meeting.

New Business

A discussion was held concerning street cleanup. Paul Price moved and Chad Pugh seconded the idea the Salem Presbyterian Church Youth Group would be paid $250 for a cleanup done before Memorial Day and $250 for a cleanup in the fall after the leaves have fallen. This idea will be presented to the leaders of the youth group.


Paul Price moved for adjournment.

Christina Young seconded.
