Village of Venedocia
Venedocia Lions Club January 10, 2012
The meeting began with the oaths of office given to Larry Eutsler for the position of mayor and to Chad Pugh and Robert Louth for the positions of village council. The oaths were administered by Judge Jill Leatherman.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Larry Eutsler with the following council members present: Robert Louth, Lee Lare, Christina Young, Gloria Leiter, and Chad Pugh.
Mayor Eutsler appointed Pugh, Price, and Young as warrant and voucher signers.
The bills were presented as follows:
Beverly Fuerst, County Treasurer $301.85 (#4692)
Purmort Bros. Insurance $325.00 (#4693)
Maumee Watershed Conservancy $12.00 (#4694)
Regional Planning Commission $43.40 (#4695)
BWC $140.55 (#4696)
Jennifer Pugh $285.71 (#4697)
OPERS $78.02 (voucher)
AEP $285.80 (charge)
AEP $15.90 (charge)
Gloria Leiter moved to pay all bills. Robert Louth seconded the motion. Motion carried.
There was no old business to discuss at this time.
Christina Young moved to appoint Robert Louth as President of Council. Gloria Leiter seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Lee Lare moved to retain Scott Gordon as the village solicitor. Gloria Leiter seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Gloria Leiter moved to hire Kim Coil as village custodian. Christina Young seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Mayor Eutsler agreed to continue to be the village zoning officer.
Christina Young moved to pay the American Electric Power bills as they are received. Lee Lare seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The regular meeting dates were set as the first Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
The fiscal officer read the 2012 Annual Appropriations. Lee Lare moved to accept the appropriations as prepared. Chad Pugh seconded the motion. A roll-call vote was taken with a unanimous “yes” vote. Motion passed.
Christina Young stated that she will get in touch with Ron Puthoff to inquire about grant-writing possibilities for the village.
Robert Louth moved to adjourn.
The next meeting will be February 6, 2012.
