Village of Venedocia



Venedocia Lions Club November 1, 2010

Meeting was called to order by Mayor Larry Eutsler with the following council members present: Paul Price, Robert Louth, Charlie Good, Gloria Leiter, Lee Lare and Christina Young.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

The bills were presented as follows:

Jenny Pugh $272.76 (#4594)

Flat Lands Supply $6.55 (#4595)

AEP $241.56 (charge)

AEP $15.16 (charge)

OPERS $74.47 (voucher)


Lee Lare moved to pay all bills. Robert Louth seconded the motion. Motion carried.


Old Business

Mayor Eutsler reported that the Linedeckers are still waiting on word from the county health department about receiving any money to fix the sunken septic. Also, the sidewalk in front of Brent Price’s house is to be fixed soon by either Jeff Coil or Brian Binkley.


New Business

The council was told that Mike Gibbs reported having water problems. After some discussion it was decided to call Doug Strickler to investigate the problem. Gloria Leiter made a motion to set a limit of $2000.000 for such purpose. Charlie Good seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Bruns will be called this month about pumping out the catch basins and air wells.


Jenny Pugh summarized what she learned at the annual fiscal officers’ meeting.


A discussion was held concerning a village resident that owns what appears to be an exotic cat. A question was raised as to if a permit is necessary for such animals.


Charlie Good moved to rescind the pay cut proposed for 2011 and to return to the wages of 2008. This would become effective January 1, 2011. Robert Louth seconded the motion. A roll-call vote was taken with a unanimous “yes” vote recorded.


Gloria Leiter moved to adjourn.

Meeting adjourned.
