Village of Venedocia

Venedocia Lions Club August 3, 2009

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Eutsler with the following council members present: Lee Lare, Gloria Leiter, Charlie Good, Jeff Coil, Paul Price, and Robert Louth.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

The following bills were presented:

E.S. Evans $5685.00 (#4501)

Lee Lare $139.87 (#4502)

Jenny Pugh $214.29 (#4503)

OPERS $58.49 (voucher)

AEP $14.24 (charge)

Paul Price moved to pay all bills. Jeff Coil seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Old Business

Jenny Pugh reported that Rick McCoy had been contacted about the AED housed at the church. The AED is on a self checking system. The pads have expired and new pads will be replaced at the cost of the Van Wert County EMA. The brackets to mount the AED will also be ordered.

Councilman Coil reported that some new road signs have been put up in the village. The only cost to the village is for that of the signs and posts themselves. There were no signs replaced on State Route 116.

Miscommunication between the village and Sherwin-Williams has left approximately 50 gallons of silver paint setting at Sherwin-Williams. It was decided that if Sherwin-Williams can sell it, then the Village does not want to purchase the paint. Pugh will call and explain the wishes of the council.

It was recommended that the village be mowed and look especially nice for the up-coming garden tour this Sunday, August 9th.

New Business

Councilman Good invited anyone interested in looking through old village documents to meet at 9:00 a.m. at the Lions Club on August 19th. He and Pugh will be organizing and cleaning up the filing cabinets.

Paul Price moved for adjournment. Meeting adjourned.

The next meeting will be moved to September 14, 2009 due to the Labor Day holiday.
