Village of Venedocia



Venedocia Lions Club August 4, 2008


The meeting was called to order by Mayor Larry Eutsler with the following council members present: Lee Lare, Robert Louth, Charlie Good, Paul Price, Jeff Coil, and Gloria Leiter.


The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.


The bills were presented as follows:

AEP $13.26 (#4405)

Ace Hardware $59.37 (#4406)

Jenny Pugh $285.60 (#4407)

OPERS $78.00 (#4408)

Chad Eutsler $330.01 (#4409)


Lee Lare moved to pay all bills. Charlie Good seconded the motion. Motion carried.


Old Business

Councilman Lare reported that the storm sewers had been cleaned.


Mayor Eutsler stated that the alleys and approaches need asphalted. Jeff Coil will look into finding someone to do this.


Mayor Eutsler commended two of the four residents that are complying with the letter sent pertaining to Ordinance 1969-3. Registered letters will be sent to the other two property owners, namely lots 19065 Plum Street and 18911 Williams Street.


Robert Louth moved to have a load of stone dumped at the ball park for the purpose of filling in holes on the streets and alleys. Paul Price seconded the motion. Motion carried.


The mayor stated that on August 15th a juvenile crew will be available to sweep, trim, move stone, paint, or whatever else the village needs done.


New Business

Councilman Price said bids had been obtained by the Lions Club to seal and paint the parking area in front of the club. Charlie Good moved to authorize Mayor Eutsler to contact the lowest bidder (Laudicks) to get started on the job. Robert Louth seconded the motion. Motion carried.


Jeff Coil moved to fix the catch basin between the Rod Eutsler and Dan King residences.

Gloria Leiter seconded the motion. Motion carried.


Gloria Leiter expressed her desire to have a catch basin installed so that hers and the next door neighbor’s residences do not flood during heavy rains. Lee Lare moved to do so. Jeff Coil seconded the motion. Motion carried.


Paul Price moved for adjournment.

Meeting adjourned.

Next meeting will be delayed until September 8th due to the Labor Day holiday.
