Venedocia Lions Club                                                                           March 5, 2007

 

Meeting was called to order by Mayor Doug Ruen with council members Lee Lare, Robert Louth, Paul Price, Charlie Good, Jeff Coil, and Gloria Leiter present.

 

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

Paul Price moved to pay all bills.  Charlie Good seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

 

Old Business

Mayor Ruen stated that there has been no word concerning the clerk/treasurer position from village solicitor, Bob Young.  Councilman Good moved to adopt a resolution stating that beginning January 1st of 2008 the clerk/treasurer position be appointed by the village council.  Paul Price seconded the motion.  Motion carried.  After reviewing the said resolution, a roll-call vote will be taken at the April meeting.

 

Mayor Ruen stated that various items, including basketball poles, park benches, and a merry-go-round, have been donated by Spencerville Schools.

 

New Business

Mayor Ruen advised the council of the up-coming auctions to be held on March 10th at the Spencerville Jennings and High School buildings and March 17th at the Spencerville Middle and Elementary Schools. 

 

Jeff Coil moved for adjournment.  Meeting adjourned.
