Village of Venedocia Council Minutes

 

 

             Venedocia Lions Club                                                               November 1, 2004

 

Meeting was called to order by Mayor Doug Ruen with council members Jeff Davis, Charlie Good, Lee Lare, Gloria Leiter, Paul Price and Robert Louth present.

 

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

 

The bills were presented as follows:

Paul Price moved to pay all bills.  Gloria Leiter seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

 

Old Business

Councilman Davis reported that the basketball pole and hoop should be installed by December’s meeting.

 

New Business

Jenny Pugh gave a summary of information gained at the Continuing Education Seminar for Village Clerks.

 

The council discussed researching the possibility of putting a dry hydrant in Tom Evan’s pond for the purpose of aiding fire fighters.

 

Mayor Ruen has received the 2005 Time Warner Cable pricing information.

 

It was reported that Whittington Street has excess stone.  Gloria Leiter moved to contact Barry Coil to remove the stone.  Paul Price seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

 

There was a discussion held about the large dip in the alley by the post office.  The state will be resurfacing State Route 116 in the future.  That may be the time to fix the problem.

 

Mayor Ruen shared a letter from Senator Watchmann regarding the library petition that the council supported.

 

Mayor Ruen stated that there will be an EMA meeting on Wednesday, November 3rd from 8:00-4:00 if anyone is interested in attending.

 

Jeff Davis moved to adjourn the meeting.  Meeting adjourned.

 

Next meeting will be held on December 6th, 2004.
