Old Business

There was a discussion held about the continuance of mosquito spraying.  It was decided that Mayor Ruen would call Stan Baker and ask that he not spray until further notified.

Jenny Pugh reported that the cost of changing Bureau of Workman’s Compensation coverage would entail the following costs:  a $200.00 membership fee to the Ohio Municipal League, an annual fee of $95.00 to Gates McDonald and an estimated premium of $251.00.  Charlie Good moved to enter into contract with Gates McDonald.  Robert Louth seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

New Business

Bruns Vacuum vacuumed the catch basins and checked the storm tiles on June 28th.  They did find a few spots that were blocked (by the Pugh residence, and the east side of town).  The east blockage cannot be fixed until the County gets the ditch blockage fixed.  Bruns will have to return at a later date to look into these problems further.  They recommended that the fire well beside the Jessie Davis residence be painted red so that it doesn’t accidentally get cleaned out.

Mayor Ruen reported that there will be a Van Wert County E.M.A. kick-off on July 12th at 1:00 p.m.

Paul Price moved to deny the county’s formal tax budget hearing.  Robert Louth seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Jenny Pugh presented the 2005 tax budget.  Gloria Leiter moved to approve the tax budget.  Paul Price seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Jeff Davis moved to adjourn the meeting.  Meeting adjourned.
