Mayor Ruen reported that most of the concrete cylinders behind the old Flat Lands building are gone.

Jenny Pugh stated that she will be training for the UAN program on June 18, 2004.  She also told the council that the village is responsible for providing $2000.00 worth of liability insurance on the computer hardware.  Estimates between $100.00 and $300.00 were given by Purmort Brothers Insurance.  Also, the state highly recommends that a battery backup be purchased to secure all data on the computer in case of power outages.  The price of this battery runs around $200.00.  Purchase of the battery is still undecided.

New Business

Stan Baker from Mercer Landmark attended the meeting to ask if the village was interested in having mosquitoes sprayed this summer.  Mayor Ruen will check to see if the village has insurance coverage for this type of situation.

Gloria Leiter asked if anyone was having any troubles with the village radios.  No one stated any problems.

Mayor Ruen invited any council members to attend the Van Wert Economic Development Dinner to be held on June 16th.

Jenny Pugh shared that the Ohio Municipal League has sent the village an offer to take over the workman’s compensation insurance.  She will call to find out more information about this.

The July 12th meeting was rescheduled for Tuesday, July 6th due to conflicts with the      clerk/treasurer.  A sign noting the change will be posted in the post office.

Gloria Leiter moved to adjourn the meeting.  Meeting adjourned.
