Venedocia Village Council

 

Venedocia Lion’s Club June 2, 2003

Meeting was called to order by President of Council, Robert Louth.

Roll call was taken with council members Jeff Davis, Lee Lare, Gloria Leiter, Paul Price, and Vernon Hobbs present.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

The bills were presented as follows:

Paul Price made a motion to pay all bills. Vernon Hobbs seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Old Business

Lee Lare shared the two Ohio Bicentennial signs that were given to the village of Venedocia. They will be displayed with the village signs at the opposite ends of town.

Lee Lare reported that Bruns Vacuum will be here between the first of June and July to clean the catch basins.

New Business

A discussion was held about fixing the disintegrated grates over the manholes. Jeff Davis will talk to a representative from Vantage Career Center about making new grates. Also needing repair is the lid on the fire cistern at College and Main streets. Lee Lare moved to have Jeff Coil fix the lid and mount the new bicentennial signs. Gloria Leiter seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Mayor Ruen left two bids that were received for the cleaning and sealing of the tennis court and parking lot. The two bids were from Ruhe’s for $1355.00 and C & S Sealing for $1700.00. Vernon Hobbs moved to hire Ruhe’s to do this job. Paul Price seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Vernon Hobbs stated that the Charlie Good residence has a building that has partially fallen down and needs to be cleaned up. A letter will be sent to Mr. Good pertaining to this matter.

Paul Price moved to close the meeting. Vernon Hobbs seconded the motion. Meeting adjourned.
