Old Business

Mayor Doug Ruen asked about the town bell. Lee Lare stated that he would pick it up tomorrow.

Mayor Ruen asked if the county was going to clean the air wells. Vernon Hobbs thought that someone from Celina was going to do it. Lee Lare will call tomorrow to check on this.

It was discussed to possibly open an account with Tractor Supply Company in Van Wert in order to purchase lawn care supplies.

Gloria Leiter brought to attention the continuing issue of a barking dog in the neighborhood. She asked if the village can have an ordinance for such a thing. Many community members have complained about the barking. Mayor Ruen looked for the book of ordinances, but couldn’t locate them; he will look into this to see if such an ordinance already exists. The dog warden has been contacted about this problem numerous times, but stated that certain conditions must be met for him to take action.

Gloria Leiter asked of the where-abouts of the old merry-go-round. It was reported that nothing has been done about it.

A discussion of when the next audit would be was held. Mayor Ruen stated that the next audit should be in 2003.

New Business-none

Vernon Hobbs moved for adjournment. Gloria Leiter seconded the motion. Motion carried.
